Rúben's Picture

Rúben L. P. Abreu

Data. Genomics. Health.

I am fundamentally interested in the journey from genomics to precision medicine, and the actionable insights data can provide across various fields. This includes not only the development of biomedical applications, but also market and business development strategies.

Previously, I worked across scientific research, data analysis, and business development at the Gulbenkian Institute for Science, the Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology/Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine, and ElementZero Biolabs. I also take pride in being a global citizen, having resided in Lisbon, Paris, Berlin, Rome, and Warsaw.

In addition to my formal experience, close family exposure to complex disease has shaped my interest in translational medicine and provided firsthand insights into how diagnostics, treatment pathways, hospital workflows, and individualized care interact in real-world healthcare.
